Jung Ryeo Won is an Australian-born singer, dancer, and actress who was formerly a member of the K-pop group CHAKRA. Born in Seoul, she moved to Australia with her family in 1991 and graduated from MacGregor State High School before returning to South Korea as an exchange student, where she was discovered by Lee Sang Min and recruited to debut as a singer. She made her debut in February 2000 as CHAKRA's main dancer, vocalist, and center with the single "Han" on Music Camp, followed by the group's first album "Come A Come" under Cream Entertainment, which achieved significant success by winning multiple rookie awards. CHAKRA reached peak popularity in mid-2001 with their second album "Chakra'Ca," which introduced an African-themed concept and earned numerous awards, though the group eventually disbanded in mid-2006 after facing financial difficulties; Jung Ryeo Won left the group in early 2004 to pursue an acting career, which has since garnered her several awards and recognition, and she is currently represented by Blitzway Entertainment.
