Shin Hye Sung, born Jung Pil Kyo, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor who graduated from Sinil High School and earned a bachelor's degree in English from Cheonan University. He auditioned for SM Entertainment while studying in the United States and debuted in March 1998 as the main vocalist of SHINHWA with their album "Resolver," followed by a solo debut in May 2005 with "Love of May" and participation in project group S, which debuted in September 2003 with the album "Fr.in.Cl" alongside Lee Ji Hoon and Kang Ta. SHINHWA went on hiatus in 2008 as members enlisted in the military and has since reunited periodically, with group activities managed by Shinhwa Company established by Eric Mun, where Lee Min Woo has served as co-CEO since 2011 and other members are shareholders. In October 2022, he was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and refusing a breathalyzer test, receiving a 1-year probation sentence that was upheld by the court in April 2024; KBS subsequently banned him from appearing on the network's programs.
