Furuya Robin was born to a Japanese mother and a third-generation Japanese-American father from Hawaii. After high school, he signed with Oscar Promotion but paused his entertainment career to pursue higher education in the United States, earning a double major in linguistics and psychology from the University of Hawaii and studying for a year at the University of Massachusetts. Upon returning to Japan, he worked as a model before transitioning to acting, leveraging his fluency in English from his time abroad. He was represented by Oscar Promotion before moving to Amuse Entertainment in 2019 and holds driver's licenses in both America and Japan.
