Cindy Yen, born Wu Hsin Yvn, is a Taiwanese-American tennis player, singer-songwriter, actress, and TV host who was born in Texas and serves as a songwriter for JVR Music while being affiliated with Sony Music Taiwan and Mango TV. After her parents divorced when she was twelve, she was raised by her mother in the United States and went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with dual majors in Music (piano) and Broadcast Journalism before eventually relocating to Taiwan. She competed as a member of the women's American football team and was crowned Miss Chinatown USA 2009 after her mother entered her into the competition. Her great-grandfather, Wu Ren Li, was a Taiwanese Navy officer who served as acting Minister of the Navy.
