Denden, whose real name is Ogata Yoshihiro, is a Japanese actor and former comedian born in Chikushino City, Fukuoka Prefecture and raised in Mizumaki Town, affiliated with Alpha Agency. After high school, he moved to Tokyo seeking opportunities and worked as a salaryman at Marui for approximately four years before joining the theater company Himawari as an extra. At age 28, he auditioned for "Kinyo 10-ji! Uwasa no Channel!!" and subsequently made his entertainment debut in 1980 at age 30 after winning a gold medal for eight consecutive weeks on "Owarai Star Tanjo!!". In 1995, he co-founded the comedy group "Stardust Society" with Ishii LaSalle and Komiya Takayasu, and has since earned numerous supporting actor awards including recognitions from the Japan Academy Award, Mainichi Film Awards, and other prestigious film festivals between 2011 and 2012.
