Sebastian Castro is an American actor of Peruvian and Japanese descent born in Long Island, New York, who was disowned by his parents at age 17 for being gay and subsequently financed his own education at Savannah College of Art and Design before withdrawing in 2014 to pursue commercial work. He publicly came out as gay through his viral music video "Bubble" released on February 14, 2013, which garnered over 3 million views and popularized the "Bubble Pop" dance trend, and later discussed his decision to come out on the GMA Network show H.O.T. TV. In 2014, Castro publicly acknowledged his relationship with former ABS-CBN reporter Ryan Chua via social media during a trip to London; the couple separated in September 2017 after four years together. After five years of minor and supporting roles, Castro achieved his first lead role in the 2017 independent film "4 Days" directed by Adolfo Alix Jr., and has secured major product endorsements throughout Southeast Asia including Jollibee, Pantene Hair, and Sun Cellular.
