Golf Tanwarin Sukkhapisit is a non-binary filmmaker, actor, writer, and politician from Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and English from Khon Kaen University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. After working as an English teacher, Tanwarin transitioned to filmmaking and became known for films including "Insects in the Backyard" (2010), "It Gets Better" (2012), and "Pump Namman" (2016), earning election as president of the Thai Film Director's Association in 2012 and a nomination for Best Direction at the 24th Asian Television Awards in 2020 for "Payak Rai Sai Lub" (2019). In the 2019 Thai general election, Tanwarin was elected to parliament, becoming Thailand's first openly transgender MP in the House of Representatives. Throughout their extensive career across lakorn, television, film, and short films, Tanwarin has worked as a director, screenwriter, actor, acting coach, and producer on nearly a hundred productions, receiving over thirty awards for achievements including best film, best script, best design, and best direction.
