Lee Ju Seung is a South Korean actor who studied Theater at Seoul University and is best known for his work in independent films. He began his career as a teenager, appearing in Members of the Funeral (2009) and One Night Stand (2010), followed by a lead role in the youth drama U.F.O. (2012). His breakthrough came in 2014 with Shuttlecock, which earned him the Independent Star Award from the Seoul Independent Film Festival and the Best New Actor prize from the 23rd Buil Film Awards, while also starring in the revenge thriller Broken (2014) and television dramas Pinocchio (2014) and The Producers (2015). In 2015, he further solidified his acclaim with the indie film Socialphobia, which became a surprise hit at the Busan International Film Festival.
