Lee Hong Bin is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor who graduated from Jayang High School before earning a bachelor's degree in Musical Studies from Dong-Ah Broadcasting Arts University and a master's degree in Applied Music from Baekseok University. He was selected through Mnet's survival show "MyDOL" and debuted in May 2012 as the lead rapper, vocalist, visual, and face of VIXX under Jellyfish Entertainment, releasing their first single album "Super Hero." In February 2020, he faced significant public backlash after making controversial comments about other idol groups during a live Twitch stream while drinking, leading to an apology from both him and his agency. His contract with Jellyfish was terminated in August 2020, after which he enlisted for mandatory military service on August 18, 2020, and was discharged on February 17, 2022; he has since become active as a Twitch streamer.
