Shin Dong Hee, professionally known as Shindong, is a South Korean singer, dancer, MC, and member of SUPER JUNIOR who holds degrees from multiple institutions including a Ph.D. in Cultural Management from Inha University. Recruited by SM Entertainment in 2005 after winning the Best Comedian prize at the SM Best Youth Contest, he debuted with SUPER JUNIOR in November 2005 as lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub-rapper with their single "Twins (Knock Out)." As part of SM's strategy to support individual pursuits, he has participated in multiple sub-groups including SUPER JUNIOR-T (debuted February 2007), SUPER JUNIOR-H (debuted May 2008), and SUPER JUNIOR-L.S.S. (debuted July 2023). Following his mandatory military service from March 24, 2015 to December 23, 2016, he has expanded his career focus to hosting, variety show appearances, and directing music videos for the group.
