Thai and Chinese entertainment stars gathered at Paragon Hall in Bangkok on August 8 for the 2026 Weibo Cultural Communication Night, an evening celebrating artists contributing to entertainment and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Among those recognized were Khemjira stars Tle Matimun and FirstOne Wannakorn, Khemjira and KengNamping actors Keng Harit and Namping Napatsakorn, singer and actor NuNew Chawarin, producer Aoftion Kittipat, and GL stars Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat.
Domundi artists receive individual honors
Tle Matimun received the Weibo Thailand Prospective New Screen Artist honor, while his Khemjira co-star FirstOne Wannakorn was named Weibo Thailand Fresh New Screen Artist.
Keng Harit received the Weibo Thailand Promising New Screen Artist honor, and Namping Napatsakorn was recognized as a Weibo Thailand Distinctive New Generation Artist.
NuNew Chawarin added another international honor to his growing music and acting career, receiving the title of Weibo Thailand Multilingual Vocal Rising Artist.
Producer and director Aoftion Kittipat was also honored as a China–Thailand Film and Television Cultural Communication Benchmark Figure, recognizing his contributions to entertainment exchange between the two countries.
Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat recognized
Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat were each presented with individual honors during the gala.
Lingling received the Weibo Thailand Fashion & Culture Pioneer Artist award, recognizing her influence across entertainment and fashion.
Orm was named Weibo Thailand Entertainment & Culture Breakthrough Artist, marking her continued rise following the international success of The Secret of Us and Only You.
Both actresses previously received recognition at the 2025 Weibo Cultural Exchange Night, where Lingling was named Thailand’s Most Trending Artist and Orm received the Thailand Rising Actress honor.
Celebrating Thai–Chinese cultural exchange
The Weibo Cultural Communication Night brings together figures from entertainment, fashion, music and digital culture, with individually named honors recognizing the achievements and growing influence of participating artists.
The 2026 ceremony also reflected the continued international reach of Thailand’s BL and GL industries, with several performers known globally through their series, music and fan events receiving recognition during the Bangkok celebration.
