Thai actor Patiphan Fueangfunuwat, previously known professionally as JJay, has introduced himself under a new name: JT.
The actor announced the change as he begins a new professional chapter alongside Ohm Thanakrit in the upcoming Thai BL series Magic Lover. The newly formed pairing will promote under the name JTOhm.
In a statement shared on X, JT explained that he changed his name to welcome new beginnings. However, he assured longtime followers that those who already know him may continue calling him Jay.
JT also shared new details about how his partnership with Ohm came together. He said he was given the opportunity to audition and participate in an interview before spending time getting to know Ohm.
The process allowed them to determine whether they would be compatible while working together and in their everyday interactions. According to JT, everything went very well.
JT described Magic Lover as a challenging new project and said he intends to give it his best. He also expressed excitement about joining a cast that includes the established pairings Keng Harit and Namping Napatsakorn, as well as Thomas Teetut and Kong Kongpob.
Speaking about his new partner, JT recalled previously watching Ohm’s “Crazy in Love” dance performance. After getting to know him personally, JT described Ohm as a lovely person and expressed happiness that Ohm can comfortably be himself.
He asked DOMUNDI fans to welcome him and support the new JTOhm partnership.
JT initially left the official pairing hashtag for Ohm to reveal. Shortly afterwards, Ohm announced #JTOhm as their official hashtag and invited fans to accompany them on their new journey.
Ohm also welcomed JT to the company, describing him as kind and caring based on the time they have spent getting to know each other. He encouraged both fandoms to enjoy the new chapter together and expressed hope that their path would be filled with smiles.
The announcements followed Mandee Work’s release of an updated Magic Lover promotional poster featuring JT beside Ohm. Their partnership had originally been scheduled for public confirmation during the series’ blessing ceremony, but the reveal was brought forward following fan feedback.
Both actors told fans they would meet again at the upcoming ceremony.
JT previously appeared as Tee in Dead Friend Forever — DFF and as Win in 4MINUTES. His transition from JJay to JT now marks the beginning of a new stage in his career—and his first official chapter alongside Ohm as JTOhm.
