SANTOS BRAVOS’ Kauê Penna brought an unexpected piece of Thai BL fandom to the Latin pop group’s recent activities in Los Angeles.
The Brazilian singer was photographed with a small AVOCEAN plush keychain attached to his outfit. Fans began sharing the sighting on August 13, shortly before SANTOS BRAVOS’ scheduled appearance at KCON LA, with several playfully wondering whether Kauê might be a NomNom himself.
AVOCEAN is the official GMMTV character associated with Jimmy Jitaraphol and Sea Tawinan, collectively known as JimmySea. GMMTV Shop has released several pieces of official merchandise featuring the character, including the recognizable AVOCEAN doll keychain.
The unexpected crossover was also highlighted by AVOCEAN Projects México, although the fan project noted that the origin of Kauê’s keychain remains unknown. It could be his own merchandise, a fan gift or simply an accessory he received during the group’s visit.
Kauê has not publicly identified himself as a JimmySea fan, so the accessory alone should not be treated as confirmation. Still, the sight of a SANTOS BRAVOS member carrying one of GMMTV’s most recognizable fandom characters created a fun moment for fans following both Latin pop and Thai BL.
