Mew Suppasit is officially heading back to BL, this time alongside Sunny Wannarat in a newly confirmed series expected in 2027.

The pair discussed the project while speaking with media at the MEDI JEWELRY event on August 29, revealing new details about a collaboration that fans had already begun speculating about after their recent appearances together.

Thai entertainment outlets Daradaily and Kom Chad Luek have since reported the project as a new Y-series, the Thai industry term commonly used for BL productions.

According to the interview, the project had been casting for some time. Mew said the search for his co-star began around January and included both established actors and newcomers before the team eventually met Sunny.

Sunny explained that Mew's manager first came across him through social media before he was invited to audition for the project.

Mew also spoke about his decision to return to BL after stepping away from acting for a period, saying he had missed working on set and found the new project's script particularly interesting. He described the role as more mature than his previous work, reflecting where he is now as an actor.

Sunny similarly described the series as a more adult project and said the character presents challenges different from roles he has played before.

And the pair may already be giving viewers some idea of the series' tone.

During the lighthearted interview, reporters asked about the actors' physiques and whether the upcoming project would require much clothing. Mew responded that the story contains plenty of "hot" scenes, while both actors joked about training and staying in shape for the production.

The comments help explain why some early reports have characterized the project as particularly steamy, though a formal synopsis has not yet been released.

As for the timeline, Mew said filming is expected to begin in early 2027 following the current preparation period, with the series tentatively expected around the middle of the year.

Sunny added that fans should continue following the new pairing as production gets underway.

For Mew, the project marks a notable return to the BL genre. The actor said the industry has changed significantly during his time away, with new performers and projects emerging, and described his return as an exciting new challenge.
