On August 22, 2026, Mew Suppasit and Tul Pakorn marked four years together with a joint Instagram post connecting their anniversary to the future they are building as a couple.
“4 years together, one more home to the collection 🏡❤️”
The brief message added a timely new chapter to a relationship they kept private for nearly two years. It also brought the idea of “home” into focus just as their long-planned residence appeared to be moving beyond architectural renderings and site preparation.
Mew Suppasit and Tul Pakorn were never promoted as an official BL couple.
They did not meet while portraying lovers, build their careers around a shared fictional pairing or follow the familiar promotional path through which Thai BL “ships” are created.
Mew became internationally recognized through TharnType, while Tul built his own BL legacy through Bad Romance, Together With Me and Manner of Death. Although they later worked together on the still-unreleased The Ocean Eyes, their characters were not introduced as a romantic pairing.
On paper, there was no MewTul love story for fans to follow.
Yet as the two actors began appearing in each other’s lives more frequently, some fans imagined one anyway.
MewTul was initially treated as a “ghost ship”—fandom language for an unofficial pairing that exists outside the couples promoted by studios and series. That sequence makes the photographs meaningful in a different way. Fans were not necessarily watching an established couple hide in plain sight. They were watching a longstanding friendship deepen while Mew and Tul spent more time together.
The Ocean Eyes remains unreleased, and its future is uncertain. Nevertheless, the production represents an important bridge in their personal timeline: Mew and Tul worked together, but they were never cast or promoted as an on-screen romantic pairing.

The nature of their connection changed during the summer of 2022.
Mew and Tul have identified August 2022 as the beginning of their romantic relationship. The transition came at a complicated moment: Tul was preparing to leave Thailand and move to New York City, where he would pursue a Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University.
Instead of beginning their relationship in the same city, they almost immediately had to live on opposite sides of the world.
Tul stepped away from the center of Thailand’s entertainment industry to focus on graduate studies. Mew remained primarily based in Bangkok, balancing acting, music, production work and public appearances.
The separation could easily have ended a new relationship before it had time to develop. Instead, distance became one of the defining chapters of their story.
Loving each other across 12 time zones
Mew and Tul were separated by thousands of miles and approximately 12 hours of time difference.
They set a goal of seeing each other at least once every three months. Mew visited Tul in New York multiple times while he was studying, and the two used international trips to create time together whenever their schedules allowed.
Followers began noticing Mew appearing in Tul’s New York life—not only at public events, but around birthdays, university visits, meals and seemingly ordinary days in the city.

Mew answered: “And vice versa.”

The birthday photographs Tul’s mother never forgot
One of the most memorable early MewTul moments arrived during Tul’s 30th birthday.
On October 15, 2022, Tul published a striking birthday shoot photographed in New York. Wearing only underwear in several images, he described the photographs as balancing maturity with the more liberated side of his personality.
Tul openly credited Mew as the photographer.
At the time, the collaboration could still be interpreted as one close friend helping another commemorate a milestone birthday. In reality, Mew and Tul had already been dating for approximately two months.
The photographs gained an unexpectedly sweet second chapter when Mew later recounted a conversation with Tul’s mother.
Before the couple had publicly confirmed their relationship, she questioned why Mew had not stopped her son from posting such revealing photographs. Mew insisted that he had tried to warn him.
Tul’s mother then made it clear that he should not assume she was unaware of what was happening between them. Rather than asking the couple to separate, she requested Mew’s birth information so that she could examine his astrological compatibility with her son.

Around the time of Mew’s first New York visit, the account @growaswegoooooooo began documenting destinations and moments connected to their travels.
Its biography carried an intimate message:

The account has never publicly identified its administrator. Many followers believe it was operated by Mew—or shared by Mew and Tul, with Mew potentially responsible for most of its posts. Without direct confirmation, however, that remains a fan interpretation.
What can be established is that the account functioned like a travel journal.
Posts identified destinations and dates, beginning with memories from New York locations such as Roosevelt Island and the Oculus. In December 2022, it documented time in Phú Quốc, Vietnam, including beaches, dinners and quieter moments from the trip.
For fans following MewTul in real time, the account became central to the mystery. Its carefully preserved memories, intimate wording and connection to places the couple visited made it feel different from an ordinary travel page.
It also reflected the structure of their relationship at the time. With Tul studying in New York and Mew working in Thailand, their time together was measured through visits and journeys. Each destination became another chapter in a romance the public could see developing without yet knowing its name.
The account eventually stopped updating as Mew and Tul became more comfortable sharing their travels through their main profiles.
In retrospect, Grow As We Go feels like an unofficial first volume of their story: a quiet visual diary associated with a relationship that was private, but never entirely invisible.
Following a ghost ship in real time
As Mew and Tul continued describing each other as friends, brothers and travel companions, a small but dedicated group of followers began preserving their interactions.

Some ghost shippers emerged from the interview wondering whether they had misread everything. Had the photographs and trips revealed a hidden romance, or had fans turned an affectionate friendship into a story that did not exist?
Their doubt is striking in retrospect.
Mew and Tul were already a couple. The long-distance relationship and shared journeys were real—but they were still protecting the label from public view.
For another six months, the ghost ship remained suspended between evidence and imagination.
Then Mew and Tul told everyone what those years had meant.
Mew and Tul confirm their relationship
On June 18, 2024, Thailand’s Senate approved the country’s marriage-equality legislation. Mew and Tul had previously suggested that they would speak more directly about their relationship after the law progressed.
They kept that promise.
On July 11, 2024, the two appeared together on Goy Arachaporn’s YouTube program My Ambulove. During the conversation, they publicly confirmed what many fans had hoped but remained afraid to assume: Mew and Tul were in a romantic relationship.
The episode allowed them to tell the story in their own words. They discussed their first meeting, the friendship that preceded the romance and the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship while Tul was studying in New York.

Those ships helped build both actors’ international careers and remain meaningful to many viewers. They also influenced how some parts of the audience responded to Mew and Tul’s real relationship.
While many followers celebrated the couple, others continued treating MewGulf or MaxTul as romantic realities, denied that MewTul was genuine or interpreted the relationship through imagined conflicts involving former co-stars.
The distinction matters. MewGulf and MaxTul were professional screen partnerships supported by publicity and fan-service culture. Mew and Tul have described their own relationship as a private romance that began in August 2022.

Even the channel’s name reflected their personal dynamic, with the introductory episode joking that it was selected because one of them likes eating fried eggs sunny side up.
Subsequent episodes followed Mew and Tul through additional destinations, combining food, art, history and local culture with the ordinary intimacy of two partners traveling together.
That transition captures how dramatically their circumstances had changed.
Travel had once been how they sustained a private relationship across 12 time zones. Through Sunny Side Up, it became something they could openly create and share side by side.
The song written for a proposal
Only three months after confirming their relationship, Mew was ready to take the next step.
On October 24, 2024, he launched his single “Absence,” also known by its Thai title Chong Wang Huajai. The song was not merely inspired by Tul. Mew explained that he approached its creation with a specific purpose: he wanted a song he could use when asking Tul to marry him.
During the press conference, Mew invited Tul onto the stage.
He knelt and opened a ring box.
Tul, visibly emotional, knelt in front of him as well, transforming the moment into something closer to a mutual proposal before saying yes.
Confetti filled the room as the two embraced and kissed. Shortly afterward, Mew shared a photograph of the moment with a simple announcement:
“He said YES.”
The proposal completed an extraordinary public transformation.
In just over two years, Mew and Tul had gone from longtime friends to a private long-distance couple; from an unconfirmed ghost ship to publicly acknowledged partners; and finally, from boyfriends to fiancés.
Their engagement and Thailand’s marriage-equality milestone
The timing of their engagement carried additional significance.
When Mew and Tul began dating in 2022, Thailand did not legally recognize marriages between partners of the same gender. By the time Mew proposed, the Marriage Equality Act had received royal assent.
The law took effect on January 23, 2025, making Thailand the first country in Southeast Asia to recognize marriage regardless of gender. It expanded rights involving inheritance, healthcare and family life to LGBTQ+ couples.
Mew and Tul did not immediately register a marriage.
They spoke about wanting to understand the practical implications and organize a ceremony meaningful to their families and the people who had supported them.
Public estimates of their wedding timeline have changed, but the couple has clarified that they never finalized an exact date. Describing the wedding as “cancelled” or definitively “postponed” therefore gives the impression that a scheduled ceremony was abandoned when its timing was still being discussed.
For now, Mew and Tul remain engaged while balancing their relationship, families, work and the future they are building together.
Building a future together
Their engagement was not the only way Mew and Tul began planning a shared future.
On March 23, 2025, the couple celebrated the grand opening of We Are Young – Cafe, Brunch and Art at The Glass Market Bangna in Bangkok.
The café combines specialty coffee and food with rotating art displays and collaborations. Its location also carries a personal connection to Tul: The Glass Market Bangna developed from a project his family had been planning since before the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of creating a welcoming community space for the Bangna neighborhood.
We Are Young emerged later in the development process.
Because Mew and Tul both loved coffee, they began considering whether they should create the development’s café themselves. Mew’s interest in collecting art helped expand the idea beyond a conventional coffee shop.
Rather than displaying only pieces from his own collection, they developed the café as a place where visitors could encounter different artists and creative styles. Tul described wanting customers to enjoy good food and art, spend meaningful time together and experience the café as a safe space.
For Mew, the name We Are Young reflected the idea that everyone retains a piece of their younger self, regardless of where they are in life.
The project took approximately a year to develop, including its branding, menu, coffee selection and artist collaborations. It also gave the couple a new kind of time together.
Mew said that working on a shared business introduced more subjects for them to discuss and more activities they could experience as partners. They also began considering additional locations and other ventures they might eventually create together.
After years in which their relationship was defined by distance, airport visits and temporary trips, We Are Young represented something different: a permanent place they had imagined, planned and built side by side.
Preparing the ground for their future home
The future Mew and Tul are building is becoming increasingly literal.
In June 2026, Tul shared architectural renderings of a large modern residence through Instagram Stories. The design featured warm wood interiors, expansive windows, tropical landscaping and spaces arranged around a central courtyard and swimming pool.
Tul tagged Mew alongside architect Almond Patsakorn and designer Ploy Kwanp, writing:

The post followed earlier comments from Mew explaining that the couple was developing the residence with an architect and had revised its design more than once. At that stage, construction had not yet begun.
By late July, however, the project appeared to be moving beyond architectural plans.
On July 28, Tul shared a view of a cleared plot captioned “Site preparation,” while another update showed Mew operating a small excavator at the property.
The posts indicated that preliminary ground preparation had begun, although they did not provide a construction schedule or clarify when work on the residence itself would start.
Only days later, on August 2, Mew and Tul joined members of their families for a Buddhist house merit-making ceremony. Photographs showed the couple dressed in coordinated white clothing as they presented offerings, received blessings from monks and participated in the occasion alongside their relatives.
The timing—immediately following the site-preparation updates—suggests that the ceremony may have been connected to the new chapter represented by their planned home.
However, neither Mew nor Tul publicly identified it as a blessing of the construction site, a groundbreaking ceremony or a ritual specifically for the residence. Mew’s mother described the occasion more generally as their family’s house merit-making ceremony.
It should therefore be understood as a potentially related family milestone rather than confirmation that a formal blessing of the new residence had taken place.
Even with that distinction, the updates offered the clearest glimpse yet of the life Mew and Tul are planning beyond their public appearances.
After maintaining their relationship through apartments, hotels, airports and journeys across continents, they are now preparing the ground for a place designed around the future they intend to share.
Asking fans to respect the life they share
Publicly confirming their relationship allowed Mew and Tul to speak more freely, but it did not end the scrutiny surrounding them.
On July 18, 2026, Mew published a statement on X addressing years of hateful messages, harassment and threats directed toward him, Tul and members of both families.
