Thai BL series Mr. Fanboy is officially joining the August 2026 release calendar.
The series, starring AuAu Thanaphum Sestasittikul and Save Worapong Walor, is set to premiere on iQIYI in August. A specific premiere day, weekly release schedule, and regional availability have not yet been confirmed in the materials reviewed by BL Atlas.
A fan steps into his idol’s world
Adapted from the novel by Littlebbear96, Mr. Fanboy follows Wan, a university student and devoted fan photographer who has long admired rising star Nine. When Wan unexpectedly earns a supporting role in a series featuring his idol, his dream of entering Nine’s world quickly becomes more complicated than he imagined.
On set, Wan repeatedly clashes with Third, the production’s sharp-tongued lead actor. Their tense relationship gradually begins to shift as Wan discovers another side of Third—and confronts the less glamorous realities hidden behind the entertainment industry’s polished image.
Save Worapong plays Wan, with AuAu Thanaphum as Third and James Supamongkon Wongwisut as Nine. The announced ensemble also includes Patji Jirachart Buspavanich, Ryujin Tinnapat Tusnytraitep, Judy Charukitt Srisawat, and Jur Vasin Traiprakhong.
AuAu and Save reunite as leads
The project gives AuAu and Save their first series as a lead pairing after appearing together in Your Sky. Their move into the central roles of Third and Wan has made Mr. Fanboy one of the most closely watched titles from Domundi and Mandee Work’s current slate.
The series was first introduced during DMD LINE UP 2025+ “GLOW UP,” where Mandee Channel released an official pilot. A new teaser presented with the 2026 lineup offered another look at the show’s mix of romance, rivalry, fandom, and behind-the-scenes industry drama.
