Gun Atthaphan, Ohm Pawat, Off Jumpol and JAYLERR will no longer participate in the 2026 Weibo Cultural Communication Night in Bangkok.

Event organizer Hydroindus Entertainment announced the lineup change on August 4, citing “adjustments in itinerary coordination.” The statement did not provide further details or identify who initiated the change.

The four artists had previously been announced as part of the event, which remains scheduled for August 8, 2026, at Paragon Hall on the fifth floor of Siam Paragon in Bangkok. Tickets and event information remain available through the official AllTicket listing.

Off Jumpol, Gun Atthaphan and Ohm Pawat are represented by GMMTV. JAYLERR, whose full name is Krissanapoom Pibulsonggram, is represented separately by QOW Entertainment and should not be described as a GMMTV artist.

The announcement follows recent backlash involving GMMTV

The lineup change comes amid continuing discussion within Chinese fan communities following a July 25 confrontation at the International Novel Festival 2026 in Bangkok.

The incident involved a Chinese attendee and personnel working at a GMMTV artist gathering. Conflicting accounts circulated online about what led to the confrontation and whether the force used by personnel was proportionate.

Following an initial review, GMMTV said that an externally hired staff member had used more force than was appropriate at certain points during the incident. The company suspended the worker’s engagement while an investigation was conducted and said it would review its procedures for supervising event personnel.

The Chinese Embassy in Thailand also called for the circumstances surrounding the incident to be investigated.

The controversy subsequently prompted criticism and boycott calls from some Chinese fan groups. However, neither Hydroindus Entertainment nor GMMTV has publicly connected that response to the artists’ absence from the Weibo event.

For that reason, reports claiming that the artists were removed from the lineup because of the controversy remain unconfirmed. The organizer has attributed the change only to adjustments in itinerary coordination.

The 2026 Weibo Cultural Communication Night is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 8, at Paragon Hall in Bangkok.
