A friendship built around matching costumes, social-media appearances and a shared interest in motorcycle racing has turned Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee and Ing Asavanund into one of GMMTV fandom’s fastest-growing “ghost ships.”
Fans have dubbed the potential pairing OhmIng, with recent interactions prompting growing calls for the two actors to be cast together in GMMTV’s 2027 lineup.
In fandom language, a ghost ship is an unofficial pairing imagined or supported by viewers despite the actors not currently being promoted together as an on-screen couple. In this case, speculation concerns a possible professional acting partnership—not the actors’ private relationship.
August 13 gives OhmIng fans more to discuss
The latest wave of speculation arrived as Ohm reached one million followers on TikTok.
Ing marked the milestone on X, writing that Ohm had reached one million and that he would bring him a cake to celebrate. Images and clips subsequently circulated showing the promised celebration.
A fan roundup posted later that day also highlighted several moments that quickly caught shippers’ attention: Ing appearing in content on Ohm’s TikTok, the two riding together and Ohm following Ing’s TikTok account. Other fans described Ing as the first fellow actor followed by Ohm on the platform.
The updates do not constitute casting news, but they added momentum to a ship that had already been growing for several months.
The GMMTV Outing helped launch the ship
OhmIng first gained wider attention during the GMMTV Outing held June 16–17.
Fans noticed Ohm and Ing spending time together during the company retreat, while Ohm shared photos of the two wearing coordinating motorcycle-racing costumes. Ing also featured Ohm in a TikTok posted during the outing.
The pairing immediately resonated with some viewers, although the initial reaction remained divided between fans seeing potential on-screen chemistry and others simply enjoying a new friendship between colleagues.
Their racing connection kept the conversation going
Motorcycle racing has become one of the strongest links between the two actors.
Ohm has increasingly pursued competitive racing alongside his entertainment career, while Ing is also involved in the sport. Their appearances together around racing activities have therefore felt natural, giving the actors a shared interest beyond their work at GMMTV.
Ing was present during Ohm’s recent race weekend at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, with photos and clips of their interactions spreading across X, Instagram and Threads. Fans have since begun imagining everything from a racing-themed BL to an opposites-attract romantic comedy starring the pair.
That shared interest also provides a much simpler explanation for their growing closeness: they may simply be two colleagues who connected through the same hobby.
Why fans are looking toward 2027
Ing is one of GMMTV’s newer artists, while Ohm is already an established leading actor with an extensive history in BL, including He’s Coming to Me, Bad Buddy and Kidnap.
That combination has made OhmIng an easy candidate for early lineup predictions. In recent Reddit discussions about GMMTV’s possible 2027 projects, multiple users independently named OhmIng among the new pairings they hope or expect to see. Fan accounts dedicated to the pairing have also appeared across several platforms.
Reaction has not been universally convinced, however. Some viewers continue to describe the interactions as brotherly, while others have cautioned against interpreting every friendship as a deliberate “soft launch.”
For now, that is the fairest conclusion. Ohm and Ing are visibly spending time together, appear comfortable creating content with each other and have developed an increasingly vocal fanbase—but GMMTV has not announced them as an official pair or confirmed any project starring them together.
Until a series, promotional campaign or lineup appearance is revealed, OhmIng remains a ghost ship—albeit one that appears to be sailing faster by the week.
