Nishida Toshiyuki was an actor born in Fukushima prefecture, Japan, who achieved significant recognition throughout his career. He won two Best Actor awards at the Academy Awards for "The Silk Road" in 1988 and "Free and Easy 6" in 1993, and later won the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Actor in 2003 for his performances in "Get Up!" and "Free and Easy 14". Nishida passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 76, when he was found dead in his home in Setagaya, Tokyo.
