Katsuji Ryo is a Japanese actor born in Tokyo who graduated from Horikoshi High School. He won the Best Newcomer award at the 29th Japan Academy Awards for his role in Aegis (2006). He married actress Maeda Atsuko in July 2018 following their collaborations in the drama Dokonjo Gaeru (2015) and the film Taberu Onna (2018), and they had a son in March 2019 before announcing their divorce on April 23, 2021.
