Ohm Pawat has shared his most detailed comments yet about his growing friendship with fellow GMMTV actor Ing Asavanund—and he did not completely close the door on them working together in the future.
During a Maya TV interview at the **DR.ALLY Back to Our Moment with Ohm** event on August 15, Ohm was asked about the younger actor following a string of interactions that had already fueled fan speculation about an OhmIng project in GMMTV’s 2027 lineup.
Ohm described Ing as a “dear junior”—the same affectionate phrase he used in an August 4 post congratulating Ing on his lap time and podium—whom he first met through motorcycle racing.
Ohm explained that finding another actor willing to pursue racing seriously is unusual because performers depend heavily on their appearance for work and may be hesitant to accept the risks involved.
After noticing Ing at the racetrack and eventually speaking with him, Ohm said the two “clicked.” He found that they could communicate easily, understood each other and called Ing lovely.
Ohm also confirmed that he knew Ing before the younger actor joined GMMTV. When asked whether Ing had consulted him before making the move, Ohm said they had spoken a little. He added that, if he understood correctly, Ing’s contract with his previous agency had ended around that time.
The interviewer jokingly asked whether Ohm had recruited Ing himself. Ohm did not claim responsibility for the move.
Could Ohm and Ing work together?
The interviewer then asked whether Ing could eventually become involved with Ohm’s work as an actor.
“I don’t know. We’re in the same agency, so we’ll have to wait and see,” Ohm answered.
While the response was not a confirmation, it immediately caught fans’ attention as speculation begins to build around GMMTV’s eventual 2027 lineup.
Ohm went on to praise Ing’s instincts and credited him with helping Ohm become active on social media again. According to Ohm, the experience has encouraged him to try new things.
Ohm says their interactions happen naturally
Asked directly about the “chemistry moments” between them, Ohm avoided defining the relationship and instead emphasized that their interactions are not planned.
“Everything is natural. Let it happen on its own,” he said.
Ohm explained that having Ing at the racetrack has given him more energy. He no longer feels alone there, has someone to talk to and enjoys Ing frequently approaching him to joke around.
Because they share the same interest in racing, Ohm said it feels easy for them to spend time together and support each other. Having Ing there also gives him someone to cheer for when watching a racing class other than his own.
When the interviewer noted that photos from Chang International Circuit often show Ing wherever Ohm is—and Ohm wherever Ing is—Ohm attributed it to how comfortable they feel around each other. He suggested that they would not spend so much time together if they did not feel at ease.
He also offered a more practical explanation: their pits were directly beside each other.

Ohm talks about Ing’s smile
Elsewhere in the interview, Ohm was asked whether he had been won over by Ing’s smile.
Ohm explained that Ing smiles and laughs easily once he becomes comfortable with someone. Around people he does not know well, however, Ing may sit quietly with his headphones on and appear serious.
Ohm said Ing’s cheerful personality reminds him of his younger self, when he also enjoyed laughing and smiling frequently. He added that he now understands how meaningful it can feel to have someone smile at him and consistently offer encouragement.
The interviewer jokingly clarified that Ohm was simply sharing the story—not showing off—prompting a visibly shy and smiling response from the actor.
The story behind the viral Buriram moment
Ohm also explained the playful moment in which he was seen wiping his sweaty face against Ing’s shirt during the NEXZTER BRIC Superbike Championship Round 2 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram.
According to Ohm, he had just finished practicing and was still focused on whether he had achieved the lap time he wanted. He was also sweating heavily because of the heat.
Ohm initially used the Thai expression man sai—suggesting playful annoyance—before correcting himself to man kiao. The latter describes an affectionate urge to tease someone because they are endearing.
Ohm then called a confused Ing over and jokingly used the younger actor’s shirt to wipe away his sweat, saying he wanted to leave the imprint of his face on it.
Ohm and Ing plan another outing
Later on August 15, Ohm shared a video from the gym, prompting Ing to reply, “Let me come too.”
Ohm immediately suggested meeting the following day and asked whether Ing was available. Ing answered with a teasing question of his own: “Do you want me to be free?”
The public exchange came only hours after Ohm described their interactions as natural and credited Ing with bringing him back to social media. It offered another example of the relaxed, spontaneous dynamic Ohm had discussed during the interview.
Ohm and Ing have not been announced as an official acting pair, nor has GMMTV confirmed a project featuring them together. However, Ohm’s comments provide new context for their recent closeness—and his “wait and see” response will undoubtedly keep speculation alive as fans look toward GMMTV’s next lineup.
